Bihar Legislative Assembly leader of opposition Tevjaswi Yadav held a press conference on Saturday, attacking the Election Commission. During this, he said that he had checked his name in the electoral roll but it did not appear. This meant that his name is not in the electoral roll. After Tevjaswi Yadav’s statement, a political storm erupted in the state. The Election Commission and the District Election Officer immediately provided information about this matter. Now, Tevjaswi Yadav is seen getting trapped in a new mess. In fact, Tevjaswi Yadav’s electoral photo identity card (EPIC) number is not one but two. Tevjaswi Yadav’s first EPIC number is RAB29161200 while his second number is RAB0456228. In fact, the EPIC number and voter ID number provided by the leader of opposition Tevjaswi Yadav is RAB2916120, while the EPIC number issued by the Election Commission and Patna Election Officer cum District Magistrate is RAB0456228. The Election Commission provides a unique identification number to all registered voters in the country. This number is on the voter ID card. This is called the EPIC number. EPIC number proves that the voter is a registered voter in India. To cast their vote during the election, the voter’s name must be in the voter list. Bihar’s ruling party JD-U’s leader and spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that Tevjaswi Yadav had two election identity cards. This needs to be investigated. The competent authority should investigate. Tevjaswi Yadav has two voter cards. He had a voter card made in 2014 at Kautalya Nagar. Later, his address changed to 10 Circular Road, Patna. Meanwhile, Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha also targeted Tevjaswi Yadav. He said that just like the father (Lalu Yadav) is the son (Tevjaswi Yadav). They have mastered the art of lying. They quote the Constitution book while damaging the constitutional institutions (Election Commission). They should be taken to task. It is not right to give such freedom to anyone to attack the Constitution and constitutional institutions.
