Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav was involved in a near-miss accident on Saturday morning in Vaishali district. A truck collided with two vehicles in his convoy near Goraul while he was en route to Patna from a political event in Madhepura. The convoy had paused for a tea break on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway at approximately 12:30 AM. While Tejashwi Yadav was a few meters away, the truck crashed into the stationary vehicles carrying his security personnel. His personal vehicle was not hit, and he was unharmed. Three security officials were injured in the collision and promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Yadav visited the injured officials, expressing his concern. They are now stable, despite suffering from bruises and minor fractures. The local police apprehended the truck driver at the scene and took the truck into custody. An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, with potential causes under scrutiny including speeding or driver fatigue. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of political figures traveling on Bihar’s roads, particularly during nighttime journeys. RJD supporters reacted on social media, expressing gratitude for Yadav’s safety, and advocating for improved road safety measures and stricter traffic rule enforcement. Party leaders are calling for a comprehensive examination of VIP security protocols on the road, especially in situations with low visibility and poor road conditions. Tejashwi Yadav, known for his busy political schedule and frequent travels in Bihar, has returned to his normal activities and assured his supporters of his well-being.
