The Darbhanga police have solved the murder of Rajesh Kumar Thakur, the headmaster of Madhupur Primary School. Teacher Rukmani Kumari and her husband, Abhilash Kumar, have been arrested for their involvement in the crime. The arrests were made at their residence in Baurwa, Baheri. The fatal shooting took place on Thursday evening as Thakur was en route to the primary school in Kanakpur North. An unidentified individual on a motorcycle shot Thakur near the Sanskrit school. The victim was initially taken to a private clinic in Pandaul and later transferred to DMCH. He was then moved to Paras Global Hospital in Darbhanga, where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation revealed a complex love affair between the deceased headmaster and Rukmani Kumari, who had worked together in the same school two years prior. Despite being married with children, Rukmani wanted to marry Rajesh, but he was unwilling. To distance himself, he transferred to a school near Madhubani. According to reports, Rukmani and her husband often argued over Rajesh. It’s believed that Abhilash knew about his wife’s relationship with the headmaster. Evidence suggests that Rukmani and her husband were at the school shortly before the attack. The SDPO Benipur confirmed the registration of an FIR and ongoing legal proceedings. The police are actively searching for other individuals implicated in the murder and are determined to uncover the complete details of the crime.
