The controversy sparked by RJD leader Sanjay Yadav’s post continues to escalate, with Tejashwi Yadav’s sister, Rohini Acharya, facing online harassment. Following the deletion of her post, she also made her X handle private. On Sunday, she published a post to respond to trolls and other detractors.
In her Sunday afternoon post, Rohini refuted rumors circulated by trolls, troublemakers, and those seeking to undermine the party. She asserted that these were attempts to damage her image.
Acharya clarified that she has no political aspirations, never has, and never will. She has no intention of becoming an assembly candidate, nor does she wish to promote anyone for the role. She has no interest in a Rajya Sabha seat or any competition with her family members. Furthermore, she has no desire for any position in the party or any future government. She emphasized that her self-respect, her respect and devotion to her parents, and her family’s reputation are her priorities.
Before this, Rohini modified her X handle on Saturday, unfollowing Tejashwi Yadav along with around 67 RJD leaders and other figures. She also changed her profile picture. She previously shared a photo with Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav. Now, the picture shows her alone. This has been interpreted as evidence that the internal strife within the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has intensified.
The recent controversy surrounding Rohini Acharya began with a post on X before the Bihar assembly elections. On September 18, 2025, Acharya posted content highlighting internal disagreements within the RJD. This post primarily targeted Sanjay Yadav, a close associate of Tejashwi Yadav. Although she subsequently deleted the post, it has created significant unrest within the party.
