During the RJD’s state council meeting commemorating its silver jubilee, a new slogan targeting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was introduced. The focus was on solidifying the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) for the upcoming assembly elections and backing Tejashwi Yadav’s bid for Chief Minister. Lalu Prasad Yadav emphasized the importance of working for the underprivileged and promised party tickets to dedicated individuals. He called for unity to counter the RSS and Nitish Kumar, aiming to establish their own government. Rabri Devi, former Chief Minister, criticized the state government, alleging media bias and urging party members to unite. She also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies. Tejashwi Yadav highlighted the public’s desire for change after Nitish Kumar’s long tenure and criticized his priorities, particularly his absence from NITI Aayog meetings. He also took aim at the two Deputy Chief Ministers, questioning their accomplishments and accusing them of focusing on criticizing Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Yadav instead of working. Mangali Lal Mandal, the state president, underscored the importance of unity in the face of upcoming challenges, referencing the history of the party’s struggle.
