JDU leader Raj Kumar Singh, holding the rank of a Cabinet Minister, addressed the TV9 Digital meeting in Begusarai, Bihar, focusing on the upcoming assembly elections. Singh emphasized the unity within the NDA, stating there was no discord among the coalition partners. Singh, a former LJP MLA from Matihani, later switched allegiance to the JDU.
Singh spoke about his relationship with Chirag Paswan, mentioning that their interactions were always cordial. He highlighted the strong collaborative efforts of the NDA’s five parties, reiterating the absence of internal confusion and expressing confidence in the NDA’s electoral success.

Regarding the election in Matihani, Singh expressed confidence in securing a significant victory, citing the combined support base of Chirag Paswan, JDU, and BJP, which accounts for over 60% of the votes.
Addressing his decision to join the JDU, Singh explained that he felt the need for development in Matihani, a cause he believed could be best achieved under Nitish Kumar’s leadership. He clarified that he wasn’t directly asked to join the party, but the focus was on supporting development. Singh expressed satisfaction with the current unity within the NDA, including Chirag Paswan’s presence.
Singh clarified that he does not control the district administration, but he collaborates with them for public welfare, which also requires the support of public representatives.
He further shared that he had a disciplined approach during elections and never faced allegations of violating the election code of conduct.
Singh affirmed the NDA’s unified front, noting that each of its five constituents had analyzed every seat and aimed for a victory in 225 seats. Their primary goal is to re-establish Nitish Kumar’s government, offering Bihar a stable administration.
Commenting on Prashant Kishor, Singh suggested that Kishor’s strategy was not aimed at securing victory for his own party but was rather focused on weakening Nitish Kumar. Singh emphasized the Bihar electorate’s understanding of the progress made after overcoming the ‘jungle raj’ era and that the NDA is significantly ahead in the upcoming election.
When asked about not being made a minister, Singh stated that he had no regrets, as his focus was not solely on attaining a ministerial position. He expressed satisfaction with his work for the people of Matihani.
