Power Star Pawan Singh, a prominent figure in Bhojpuri cinema, has become the victim of a burglary at his residence. The incident occurred at his house in New Maruti Nagar, Ara, Bihar. Criminals entered the premises by dismantling a window and made off with an estimated 15 lakh rupees worth of jewelry, 15,000 rupees in cash, and 30 rounds of ammunition meant for a licensed rifle. The thieves also took away some expensive electronic gadgets.
Pawan Singh’s elder brother, Ranu Singh’s in-laws, were present in the house when the robbery took place. They discovered the theft on Tuesday morning and reported it to the police. The residence targeted is situated in the New Maruti Nagar area, under the jurisdiction of the Ara Nagar police station. The burglars are believed to have entered the home late at night.
The burglars used a calculated approach, cutting and removing the window to gain access. They then proceeded to target the wardrobes and lockers within the house.
Authorities suspect the robbery was premeditated, with the perpetrators possibly having prior knowledge of the home’s interior. Following the report, the Nagar police station immediately dispatched officers to the scene, and a forensic team was summoned to conduct an investigation. Police are currently questioning individuals and reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
Preliminary findings indicate that the theft was executed with a high degree of professionalism, potentially suggesting the involvement of an experienced criminal gang. Nagar police station in-charge Devraj Rai confirmed that they received information about the robbery and that their team had launched an investigation. He added that any premature statements would be speculative, and they were working diligently to apprehend those responsible.
The incident has raised concerns among local residents, who are now questioning the security of their own homes given that a celebrity’s residence was targeted.
