A shocking incident in Patna, Bihar, has led to the arrest of a man accused of using a blade to mutilate a 4-year-old boy. The perpetrator, Guddu Paswan, suspected his wife of having an affair with the child’s father and sought revenge. He tricked the boy with the promise of chocolates, luring him to his home where the brutal assault occurred. Paswan fled the scene but was later captured by the police.
The crime took place within the jurisdiction of the Gauri Chak police station. Upon questioning, Paswan admitted to the crime, explaining that his actions stemmed from his suspicions of his wife’s relationship with the boy’s father. He stated that he committed the act to punish the alleged affair.
The incident unfolded on a Saturday when the boy was playing. Paswan approached him, offering chocolates as a lure. The boy, who was staying with his maternal grandmother for the Raksha Bandhan festival, was then taken to the suspect’s home. There, Paswan carried out the horrific attack. The child’s screams alerted family members, who immediately rushed to the scene.
Paswan had already fled by the time the family arrived. The injured child was swiftly transported to a hospital, where his condition is critical. The child’s family reported the incident to the police, leading to an investigation and the arrest of the accused. The police have taken Paswan into custody, and further legal procedures are underway.
