Prime Minister Narendra Modi broke his silence regarding the Bihar rally controversy, speaking out against the alleged disrespectful comments made about his late mother. He specifically targeted Rahul Gandhi of the Congress and Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD, accusing them of politicizing the issue. According to the Prime Minister, the derogatory remarks were made during an Opposition campaign event and were deeply insulting to women.
Addressing approximately 20 lakh women via video conference, Prime Minister Modi spoke of his mother, Heeraben Modi, and her struggles, highlighting her dedication to the family and her work ethic. “Mother would be sick, but she kept working. She would save up every penny to get clothes made for us. There are crores of such mothers in our country. The place of a mother is higher than that of gods and goddesses,” he said.
