The Regional Passport Office, Patna, is conducting a Passport Seva Mobile Van Camp in Sheikhpura, Bihar. This initiative comes as the office managed around four lakh passport applications in the year 2024. The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, introduced chip-embedded passports in Patna on May 12, 2024.
The upcoming camp will be held at the Information and Public Relations Office in Sheikhpura from September 16th to 18th. The absence of a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra in Sheikhpura district has led to a surge in the number of applicants.
Following the ten camps held since April 2024 in various districts including Siwan, Gopalganj, Purnia, Bagaha, and Lakhisarai, this Sheikhpura camp marks the eleventh. The Regional Passport Office, Patna, plans to continue these services in the future.
To participate, applicants need to apply online, pay the required fees, and schedule an appointment for the Passport Seva Mobile Van Camp. They must bring original documents and self-attested copies for verification. Attendance is mandatory for photograph, fingerprint, and document checks. Detailed information on required documents can be found on the website. Note that applications for PCC or those pending due to specific reasons won’t be accepted at the camp.
