The NIA has arrested Mehboob Alam, also known as Mehboob Alam Nadvi, on Saturday. This arrest is linked to the 2022 Fulwari Sharif criminal conspiracy case. Mehboob Alam hails from the Hasan Ganj area of the Katihar district in Bihar and was apprehended in Kishanganj. A total of 19 individuals have been arrested and charged in this case to date.
Initially, the local police filed a case against 26 people. According to the NIA’s investigation, PFI members were involved in unlawful and anti-national activities. Their aim was to spread hatred and create an environment of fear in the name of religion.
The PFI’s plan was to establish Islamic rule in India, as revealed by their secret document ‘India 2047 Towards Rule of Islam in India,’ which was recovered from the Ahmed Palace in Fulwari Sharif, Patna on July 11, 2022.
