In a significant administrative move, the Bihar government has transferred several IAS officers, as announced by the General Administration Department. A notification detailing the new postings and additional responsibilities for 7 officers has been released. This reshuffle includes key changes, such as Chandrashekhar Singh moving to the CM Secretariat as Secretary and Animesh Parashar taking over as the Patna Division Commissioner.
The recent transfers aim to optimize administrative efficiency across the state. Many senior IAS officers have been reassigned to new roles, with some also taking on additional responsibilities. The General Administration Department has officially communicated these changes.
Details of the Transfers
Chandrashekhar Singh, previously the Patna Division Commissioner, is now appointed as Secretary in the CM Secretariat. In addition to his new role, he will also oversee the Disaster Management Department and serve as Chairman of the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited.
Animesh Kumar Parashar, formerly the Chief Executive Officer and Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as the Patna Division Commissioner. He will also be the Managing Director of BUDCO.
Furthermore, Himanshu Sharma, the Chief Executive Officer of Jeevika, will hold the additional charge of Special Secretary in the Health Department, while Shirshat Kapil Ashok, Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation, will also manage CONFED, Patna, as its Managing Director.
Additional Appointments
Yashpal Meena, who served as the Additional Secretary of the Health Department, is now assigned to the role of Chief Executive Officer and Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation. Kritika Mishra, an IAS officer from the 2023 batch and the Sub-Divisional Officer of Pakri Dayal, East Champaran, has been appointed as the Sub-Divisional Officer of Gogri. Pradyuman Singh Yadav, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Gogri, will now serve as the Additional Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation.
