Chaos erupted in the Saran region of Bihar when a man, reportedly in a disturbed state, went on a stabbing spree, targeting eight people. Among the victims were women and children. The injured were rushed to a hospital. The severity of the injuries prompted the transfer of two individuals to Patna for specialized medical attention. The attacker was apprehended by local residents who, in a fit of anger, physically assaulted him. He was later pronounced dead while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The incident took place in the Dee Chhapra village, within the jurisdiction of the Tariya police station. The police responded swiftly, taking the injured to the local hospital. Following initial treatment, the victims were moved to the Chapra Sadar Hospital, with some critical cases being referred to PMCH. The SSP of Saran, Kumar Ashish, visited the scene and the hospital to assess the situation and provide guidance. The attacker, identified as Bittu Tiwari from the Mashrakh area, succumbed to injuries sustained during the assault by locals.
