A student preparing for the JEE in Patna has died by suicide. The student, identified as Venugopal, was found hanging. He had been residing in Patna for four months, staying with relatives to prepare for the examination.
The incident took place at a residence on Ramnagar Road Number 8B in Patna. The student hailed from Sohsa village in Arwal district. The alarm was raised when the father of the student could not reach his son by phone. Upon arriving in Patna, the father learned of his son’s tragic act.
Upon entering the room, the police and family members discovered Venugopal’s body suspended. The body was removed and sent for post-mortem. The police have initiated an investigation.
Venugopal’s father, a farmer, stated that he had spoken to his son the previous night, and everything seemed normal. He mentioned that his son was his only son and had a sister. The father expressed that they had sent him to Patna with high hopes. He added that there were no family disputes and that he didn’t understand why his son would take such a step. The father also said that he did not suspect anyone.
