A gruesome murder case has come to light in Madhepura, Bihar. A man named Vijay Kumar is accused of murdering his friend by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon. The victim was identified as 17-year-old Rajiv Kumar, a resident of Barahkurwa village. The incident occurred on Thursday.
Rajiv’s family reported that Vijay called Rajiv to his house on Thursday night under the guise of fixing a motor. Once Rajiv arrived, Vijay allegedly murdered him inside the house. Rajiv suffered severe injuries, including a cut on his ear and a severed neck. The distance between the homes of the victim and the accused is approximately one kilometer. Rajiv was employed as a laborer.
Reports indicate that Rajiv was involved in an extramarital affair with Vijay’s wife, a matter that was discussed in the village. Vijay used the excuse of needing help with his motor to lure Rajiv to his house. Following a drinking session, Rajiv stayed at Vijay’s home. Later that night, Vijay discovered his wife with Rajiv.
Enraged, Vijay allegedly attacked Rajiv with a sharp weapon, initially severing his ear and subsequently cutting his throat, leading to his death. After the murder, Vijay reportedly abandoned Rajiv’s body in the courtyard and fled the scene. Upon receiving information, the police initiated an investigation and quickly apprehended Vijay.
ASP Pravendra Bharti confirmed that a post-mortem examination is underway and that three individuals are being questioned. Further details surrounding the incident will be disclosed shortly.
