A disturbing case is under investigation in Patna, Bihar, involving the discovery of a young couple’s bodies on a railway track, raising suspicions of foul play. The bodies, found near Chandan Nagar on the Patna-Gaya rail section, were identified as a young man and a teenage girl. The incident prompted immediate action from local authorities, with the police and SDPO-2 responding to the scene.
The male victim was identified as Subodh Kumar, also known as Loha Yadav, from Sigrampur (Dhanarua). The female victim was a teenager from a nearby village. The investigation revealed that a kidnapping case had been filed six days before the discovery, implicating the deceased man and two others. Adding to the complexity of the situation, a wedding photograph of the couple had gone viral, which caused outrage among the girl’s family. Police are exploring the possibility that this photo served as a catalyst for the alleged murder. Two associates of Subodh, residents of Sigrampur, are currently missing, hindering the investigation.
Police have observed multiple injuries on the bodies, which are not typical of train-related fatalities, suggesting the possibility of a violent attack before the bodies were placed on the tracks. The post-mortem examination will provide further details regarding the cause of death. The male victim had a criminal record, with multiple cases filed against him, including robbery, arms violations, and theft. He had also served time in jail and was recently at large in connection with other criminal cases.
