A tragic case of violence has unfolded in Chhapra, Bihar, where a man allegedly murdered his younger brother. The victim, 17-year-old Sonu Kumar, was killed by his elder brother, Sunny, in Marar village of Parsa block. The incident took place on Sunday evening. Following the stabbing, the accused, Sunny, absconded.
The reason behind the murder is incredibly unusual. Sonu had bought three ice creams. He consumed one, gave one to his mother, and offered the third to his sister-in-law, who is the wife of the accused, Sunny. This act of sharing ice cream reportedly triggered the fatal conflict.
After Sonu gave the ice cream to Sunny’s wife, a misunderstanding arose, followed by an argument. The confrontation escalated, and Sunny, losing control, attacked Sonu with a knife. The knife pierced Sonu’s left chest, causing a serious injury. Family members immediately took him to the community health center for medical assistance.
Doctors at the health center recognized the severity of Sonu’s condition and referred him to PMCH after providing initial treatment. Tragically, Sonu died during the transfer to PMCH. Upon receiving the report, the police reached the location and began their investigation, interviewing the family. Subsequently, the body was moved to the Sadar Hospital.
Sonu’s mother revealed that he was the only member of the family contributing to their income. Family members also stated that Sunny’s marriage had occurred only five days before this tragic event. The conflict appears to have stemmed from Sonu offering ice cream to his sister-in-law.
