A shocking incident unfolded in Darbhanga, Bihar, where a man allegedly murdered his wife. The victim, Sumitra Devi, aged 27, was killed by her husband, Lalbabu, who used scissors in the attack. Authorities have apprehended the suspect and initiated an investigation.
The incident occurred in Baghauni village, Darbhanga, on Sunday afternoon. Lalbabu Das, the accused, is believed to have suspected his wife, Sumitra Devi, of being unfaithful. The couple had a love marriage approximately four years prior.
Lal Babu Das, who had been residing in Delhi, returned home after allegedly learning about his wife’s infidelity. The couple has a three-year-old daughter. It is understood that Sumitra Devi had been staying with her lover for a period before returning home. Following a dispute, Lalbabu reportedly attacked his wife with scissors, leading to her death.
Local law enforcement, including SDPO Ashutosh Kumar, responded to the scene, arrested Lalbabu, and are currently working to ascertain the details. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
