An alarming case of alleged superstitious activity has surfaced from Kishanganj, Bihar. A young man is in custody after being caught with the severed head of his deceased tantric guru. The man is believed to have removed the head from the grave to perform tantric rituals. The incident took place in Kishanganj, where local residents apprehended the individual while he was carrying the head in a bag. They then assaulted him before handing him over to the police. The community is reeling from the unsettling event. The incident occurred in the Madua Toli area, under the Mahin village panchayat of Kishanganj town police station. Sri Prasad, the accused, had been a disciple of the deceased tantric, Algoo Baba. Algoo Baba had passed away 15 days earlier in West Bengal and was buried there. Sri Prasad, seeking to further his knowledge of tantric practices, reportedly went to West Bengal, exhumed the body, and removed the head using a sharp instrument. He then transported the head to Kishanganj. Villagers discovered the desecrated grave the next morning. They later spotted Sri Prasad carrying the head in a bag approximately 7 kilometers away. Questioned by villagers, the suspect claimed he intended to use the head for tantric rituals, leading to the immediate arrest and police involvement. A local resident stated that Sri Prasad also practiced tantra and believed his guru possessed great knowledge, which he hoped to obtain through the ritual. Police have recovered the severed head, which the accused had hidden. The investigation is ongoing, with the accused handed over to the West Bengal police. The incident has instilled fear among the villagers.
