Principal Secretary Pankaj Kumar of the Bihar Agriculture Department presided over a state-level monthly review meeting at Krishi Bhawan, Patna. Agricultural officers from all divisions and districts were in attendance. Discussions centered on significant issues such as Kharif crop coverage, data upload status on the Bihan app, diesel subsidies, contingency crop planning, rainfall patterns, and agricultural input grants.
Officials received instructions to ensure the prompt processing of all applications related to agricultural inputs. The Principal Secretary highlighted that the distribution of seeds aims to provide farmers with timely access, thereby influencing crop yields and overall productivity. Consequently, a review of the seed distribution scheme will be carried out after the crop season, utilizing coverage and production data.
