The commission has declared the news about the exam’s postponement, which has been circulating, as false. The commission emphasized that any official announcements regarding exam postponements would only be communicated through its official website and social media accounts, or via formal press releases. The release stated that candidates would receive sufficient time to download their BPSC preliminary exam admit cards and obtain essential details about their examination districts and centers, in line with the established protocols.
The commission has also urged candidates preparing for the exam to stay alert to false information and to avoid relying on unofficial sources for updates. Earlier, the commission received complaints from certain coaching institutions alleging similarities between the examination questions and model papers. Addressing these complaints, the commission strongly denied the allegations, categorizing them as completely false and misleading.
The BPSC 71st Combined Civil Services Examination aims to fill a total of 1,264 posts. The initial notification stated 1,250 positions. This was later revised by adding 14 DSP posts, bringing the total to 1,264 vacancies.
