Vijayadashami celebrations across the nation were accompanied by a wave of political activity in Bihar. The JDU utilized the occasion to release an AI-generated video on their social media, sparking controversy. The video features a depiction of Lalu Prasad Yadav, the RJD chief, as Ravana. The AI-generated video shows Lalu Prasad Yadav with ten heads, symbolizing various social ills, before the symbolic burning of his effigy. The video portrays Lalu Yadav smiling, with a lantern pendant. Each of the ten heads represents different issues: theft, caste violence, corruption, looting, extortion, kidnapping, and general crime. The video then shows a young man representing the public of Bihar, depicted as shooting an arrow at the Ravana-like figure of Lalu Prasad Yadav, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. The video further suggests that the people of Bihar will eradicate evil this Vijayadashami. The BJP, on the other hand, presented Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition, as Ravana through an image. BJP leader Kundan Krishan criticized Lalu Yadav’s governance, stating that his actions were akin to a demon, with citizens living in constant fear and lacking security during his rule. He said that during Lalu Yadav’s tenure, incidents of loot, abduction, and rape were rampant. He believes that the people of Bihar ended his rule and established Ramraj, a reign of righteousness in the state, and the BJP guarantees this Ramraj will continue, as the people of Bihar assert.
