The political landscape of Bihar is currently witnessing a flurry of accusations and counter-accusations. The RJD has specifically targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to RJD MP Sanjay Yadav, an affidavit filed by the people of Bihar alleges that Modi’s election as Prime Minister was achieved through vote theft. Dr. Santosh Suman, the Minister of State for Water Resources, commented on the state of Bihar under the former ‘lantern rule,’ describing it as a time of darkness and suffering. RJD’s criticism focuses on allegations of electoral fraud. Sanjay Yadav stated that the people of Bihar, in an affidavit, have accused Narendra Modi of securing his position through vote manipulation. The affidavit also claims that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has exposed Modi’s vulnerability. Yadav cited the Prime Minister’s own statements about the infiltration of outsiders into Bihar to highlight his failures. He argued that if infiltration has occurred during Modi’s tenure, it is an indication of his incompetence.
Dr. Santosh Suman, the national president of HAM and Minister of State for Water Resources, claimed that Bihar suffered greatly during the ‘lantern rule,’ characterized by widespread darkness. He asserted that the current government has brought the state towards development and progress, highlighting Modi’s provision of Rs 13,000 crore in development projects to realize the vision of ‘Developed Bihar-Developed India.’

He alleged that the government is attempting to disenfranchise voters by removing names of migrant workers, women, and minorities from the voter list, using the SIR as a pretext.
The Indian Inquilab Party has been renamed the Indian Inclusive Party following the Election Commission’s directive. Party leader IP Gupta confirmed that the name change was implemented because other political groups in Bihar also used the term ‘Inquilab.’ The party will contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections under its new name.
