He explained that it allows citizens to benefit from government schemes and ensures the accurate identification of eligible individuals. Dr. Siddharth was the chief guest at a one-day workshop in Patna organized by the Information Technology Department of the Bihar government, focusing on Aadhaar verification and robust digital good governance.
Dr. Siddharth mentioned that Aadhaar verification has helped in uncovering and canceling several fake ration cards in Bihar. The Aadhaar card is connected to various government departments. He pointed out the complexities arising from different identification numbers across various documents like Aadhaar, voter ID, PAN, and bank accounts, which hinder proper individual identification.
