Political tensions are intensifying in Bihar over the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voters. The Mahagathbandhan and the NDA are engaged in a war of words on the issue. Upendra Kushwaha, a Member of Parliament, criticized the Mahagathbandhan. Union Minister Giriraj Singh targeted Rahul Gandhi. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also protested against the Bihar government, citing the CAG report.
Upendra Kushwaha accused the Mahagathbandhan of lacking the votes to win. He downplayed their protests, suggesting they wouldn’t impact the NDA’s prospects.
Giriraj Singh raised questions about Rahul Gandhi’s victories, linking them to ‘invisible voters.’ He criticized those questioning the Election Commission and commented on the proposed joint march of Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav.
The Aam Aadmi Party protested in front of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Bihar, led by Rakesh Yadav. The protest was against the state government concerning the CAG report that highlighted financial irregularities. The CAG report stated that approximately ₹71,000 crore could not be accounted for by the Bihar government. The report implied that the funds could have been misused.
