The Bihar Education Department has issued strict instructions to teachers, urging them to seek solutions to their problems by meeting with District Magistrates. This directive was communicated through a letter from Dr. Siddharth, the Additional Chief Secretary, to all District Magistrates.
The letter noted that teachers visiting the Education Department headquarters for issues, including transfer-related complaints, were creating workflow disruptions. Dr. Siddharth stressed that visiting the secretariat for such matters was unnecessary, and that issues must be resolved at the district level.
The department has a substantial workforce, and if even a small percentage sought redressal at the state headquarters, it would overwhelm the system. The District Establishment Committee, headed by the District Magistrate, is responsible for handling district-level issues on a case-by-case basis.
Teachers are directed to register their complaints through the e-Shiksha Kosh portal. Nodal officers are actively addressing these online complaints. The established system, accessible through the structured website, allows teachers to log in and lodge complaints. The District Education Officer, along with other key officials, oversees these complaints, ensuring timely resolution. Compliance reports are to be uploaded on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal for review by the Additional Chief Secretary’s Public Grievance Cell.
