The newly constructed Aunta-Simaria 6-lane Ganga Bridge in Bihar is poised to revolutionize travel for residents across 25 districts. This crucial infrastructure project, with a total length of 8.150 kilometers including approach roads, promises to ease commuting between North and South Bihar. Spanning 1.865 kilometers, the bridge links Aunta in Mokama to Simaria in Begusarai and represents an investment of approximately 1871 crore rupees.
The existing two-lane rail-cum-road bridge often struggled with traffic congestion. The new 6-lane structure is designed to eliminate these bottlenecks and accommodate heavy vehicles, paving the way for smoother transportation. The project ensures continuous 4-lane connectivity from Patna, through Mokama, to Begusarai and Khagaria.
