The BJP is demonstrating an assertive approach to the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Following the announcement of the election in-charge team on Thursday, the party convened a crucial meeting in Patna on Friday. The meeting, held at the BJP office, focused on the upcoming elections, candidate selection, and overall campaign strategy. Senior BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, were present. Sources suggest that reports concerning potential candidates were presented during the meeting. The Screening Committee’s report was submitted to Dharmendra Pradhan and B.L. Santhosh after two days of deliberations. Amit Shah directed party leaders to be fully prepared for the assembly elections. He addressed party workers, and engaged in discussions on election strategies. The meeting was also attended by election in-charge and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, along with other key party figures such as Vinod Tawde and B.L. Santhosh. The BJP’s Bihar headquarters served as the venue for the meeting, which was decorated with posters featuring Amit Shah. Shah is scheduled to visit Samastipur and Araria on Saturday to engage with party workers in both districts. This marks his second visit to Bihar in the past week, following an earlier address to workers in Rohtas and Begusarai on September 19. On Friday morning, the Home Minister interacted with party workers in Bettiah, West Champaran. Sharing images from the meeting on X, he highlighted the instructions given to senior party workers from the Saran and Champaran regions. He emphasized the importance of the 45 assembly seats across the 10 organizational districts in these regions, which are expected to contribute significantly to the NDA’s success in Bihar. The BJP is contesting the Bihar elections as part of the NDA alliance, which includes the Janata Dal United, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas Paswan), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
