Spirit Air is set to enhance air connectivity in Bihar by linking smaller cities under the UDAN scheme. The focus is on connecting Birpur, Saharsa, Munger, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Raxaul, Valmikinagar, and Bihta to larger cities across India. This project is designed to stimulate regional connectivity, economic growth, and employment opportunities.

Spirit Air’s initiative will not only improve air connectivity, but also bring economic growth to Bihar, strengthen rural areas, and open up new markets.
Spirit Air, based in Bengaluru, is managed by a team of experienced former Air India executives with more than 30 years of aviation experience. The upcoming fleet for the RCS operations in Bihar will consist of the Islander BN2T-4S STOL (Short Takeoff & Landing) aircraft, suitable for passengers, cargo, and medical services, and the King Air 250, a high-performance, pressurized, and multi-mission flexible aircraft.
In the first phase, regional passenger air services will start from Birpur, Saharsa, Munger, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Raxaul, Valmikinagar, and Bihta.
The airports will connect to major metropolitan areas such as Varanasi, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Bihta will be directly connected to Patna, along with connections to Jamshedpur, and Bokaro.
International connections include Muzaffarpur to Kathmandu and Janakpur (Nepal), Birpur to Rajbiraj and Biratnagar (Nepal), Valmikinagar to Kathmandu and Bhairahawa (Nepal), and Bihta to Kathmandu.
Spirit Air is partnering with DTDS Travel & Tour Planner Pvt. Ltd. to offer a seamless, integrated door-to-door travel service. This service will include pickup from home, airport drop-off, flights, and drop-off at the final destination, with a single payment option, online booking, and nominal fees.
