Gaya Police demonstrated exceptional efficiency by rescuing a youth who had been kidnapped for ransom within six hours of the crime being reported. The incident involved the abduction of the young man while he was en route to Gangti Bazaar. Criminals seized him near Baghiya Mor, Imamganj, on August 6th, and subsequently demanded a ransom of 8 lakh rupees.
An FIR was promptly filed at the Imamganj Police Station, leading to an immediate investigation. The Senior Superintendent of Police in Gaya spearheaded a rapid response, resulting in the apprehension of those responsible and the safe return of the victim.
The investigation was significantly aided by the Technical Branch of Gaya Police.
Under the direction of the City Superintendent of Police, Gaya, and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Imamganj, a special team was formed. This team comprised officers from various police stations including Imamganj, Chakrabandha, Magra, and Bhadwar, alongside technical experts from Gaya. Their efforts led to the successful rescue.
The special team employed advanced technical methods to track down the perpetrators. Based on intelligence, they conducted raids in the Pichhulia forest of Chakrabandha, leading to the recovery of the kidnapped youth, Munnavar Khan alias Tabbu Khan, near Nakti Bridge, Imamganj.
Investigation Reveals Premeditation
Interrogation of the rescued youth indicated that the kidnapping was meticulously planned, involving multiple individuals. Police have identified the vehicle used in the crime and are actively pursuing other suspects, with ongoing raids to ensure their arrest.
