Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Bihar’s Purnea district on Monday, engaging with the public and launching development projects totaling ₹36,000 crore. The agenda includes the inauguration of a new airport terminal in Purnea, which will significantly improve air travel options for the region. Furthermore, the visit will see the launch of the National Makhana Board, a project outlined in the 2025 Union Budget, designed to enhance Makhana production, implement advanced technologies, streamline processing, and promote exports, thereby supporting Makhana farmers in Bihar and throughout India.
The Prime Minister’s schedule also encompasses Griha Pravesh events for more than 40,000 PMAY recipients and the disbursement of ₹500 crore to women’s self-help groups under the DAY-NRLM scheme. Security protocols have been intensified, with traffic restrictions in place on highways, commencing Sunday midnight and lasting for a full day.
