In preparation for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially released a list of 40 distinguished campaigners. This strategic deployment aims to energize the party’s base and sway voters in what is anticipated to be a closely fought electoral battle.
The campaign team is headlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, alongside a comprehensive selection of senior BJP figures from both the central government and state units. Their collective efforts will be directed towards supporting NDA candidates across Bihar.
Voting for the Bihar polls will be conducted in two phases, with the first phase on November 6 covering 121 constituencies and the second phase on November 11 for 122 constituencies. The outcome of this significant electoral exercise will be announced on November 14.
The roster of star campaigners is extensive, featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the forefront. He is joined by BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Dharmendra Pradhan. Complementing these national leaders are chief ministers from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi, including Yogi Adityanath, Devendra Fadnavis, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Mohan Yadav, and Rekha Gupta respectively.
Key Bihar BJP leaders, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, State President Dilip Jaiswal, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, and former Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and Ashwini Kumar Choubey, are also integral to the campaign strategy. The list further includes Nityanand Rai, Radha Mohan Singh, Renu Devi, Prem Kumar, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Sanjay Jaiswal, Nand Kishore Yadav, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, and Vinod Tawde.
Adding star power, renowned personalities from the entertainment industry such as Pawan Singh, Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, and Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ have been enlisted as campaigners, designed to enhance public engagement.
This move by the BJP comes at a pivotal time, with the NDA having settled seat-sharing agreements. The comprehensive list of campaigners underscores the BJP’s commitment to a vigorous election campaign, aiming to maximize its electoral footprint in Bihar.
