Bihar is gearing up for its 2025 Assembly Elections, with the Election Commission of India marking the official start of the campaign. The elections for the 243 seats in the Bihar Vidhansabha will be conducted in two phases: November 6 and November 11. The results will be declared on November 14.
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has reached a consensus on seat distribution. The JDU and BJP will each contest 101 seats. The HAM and RLM parties are allocated six seats each. Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will participate in 29 constituencies.
On the opposing side, the Mahagathbandhan is poised to challenge the incumbent NDA. Key constituents like RJD, Congress, VIP, and various Left parties are intensifying their efforts to dislodge the current administration.
A significant development is the entry of Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj, which has announced its ambitious plan to contest every single one of the 243 seats. This independent run is expected to be a major talking point.
Additionally, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), led by Asaduddin Owaisi, which secured five seats in the previous election, plans to field candidates in many more constituencies this year. This expansion has sparked discussions about its potential influence on electoral dynamics, especially in areas with a significant Muslim population.
Below is the comprehensive list of candidates fielded by each party along with their designated constituencies for the upcoming Bihar Vidhansabha Chunav 2025.
