For the first time since Independence, the Indian tricolour was raised in 29 villages within the districts of Bijapur, Narayanpur, and Sukma in Bastar. These villages, once dominated by Naxal influence, now witness a symbol of national unity. The hoisting of the flag on Independence Day is a symbol of transformation, reflecting the sacrifices made by security forces and the determination of the government. Key villages, including Kondapalli, Jeedpalli, and Gomguda, now stand alongside others in celebrating this new dawn. This shift is attributed to a combined effort of security measures, development initiatives, and the trust built with local communities, paving the way for lasting peace.
