Following a complaint filed by a Bajrang Dal member, two Catholic nuns from Kerala and a local tribal youth were arrested by the GRP at Durg railway station on July 25. They were accused of attempting to traffic three tribal girls from Narayanpur district to Agra for conversion. The case was subsequently transferred to the NIA court in Bilaspur, where a special court granted bail to the three individuals on certain conditions on August 2nd.
