A strong message has been sent from India’s Army Chief to Pakistan, indicating that the nation’s armed forces are on high alert and ready for further action. General Upendra Dwivedi announced that India is prepared for ‘Operation Sindoor 2.0’, a potential escalation if Pakistan resorts to further provocations. Speaking during a visit to Sainik School in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, General Dwivedi asserted, “The Indian Armed Forces are fully ready for Operation Sindoor 2.0.” He also referenced the synergy between the heads of the Army, Air Force, and Navy, suggesting a united front against any aggression. The ongoing ‘Operation Sindoor’, launched in May to counter Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, remains active. General Dwivedi clarified that the decision to end this operation rests solely with India, stating, “We will stop Operation Sindoor at an appropriate time.” This assertion underlines India’s strategic autonomy and its determination to see the operation through until its objectives are met. The Chief’s unequivocal statement promises a “befitting reply” to any “cowardly act” from Pakistan, leaving no room for misinterpretation regarding India’s retaliatory capabilities.
