A controversial video showing Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s phone call and video call with DSP Anjali Krishna of Madha taluka, Solapur district, has surfaced online. The video reveals Pawar’s demand to stop a police action against illegal sand mining in the region. Ajit Pawar is seen in the footage, threatening the officer with consequences for disregarding his instructions. This incident dates back to September 1st.
The DSP, Anjali Krishna, initiated action in response to complaints of illegal sand mining occurring in Kurdu village, Madha taluka. The sand mining was being used for village road construction. Upon arriving at the site, Anjali Krishna was contacted by Ajit Pawar via a local worker, Baba Jagtap, who was present at the scene.
In the phone conversation, Ajit Pawar identified himself as the Deputy Chief Minister and instructed the DSP to cease the ongoing action and vacate the area. He insisted that the DSP inform her senior officer, Dr. Shejar, about his direct involvement, citing the need to focus on the situation in Mumbai. He concluded by explicitly ordering the immediate halt of the operation.
During the exchange, Anjali Krishna expressed skepticism, requesting a call directly from Pawar. In response, Ajit Pawar threatened her with action, stating he would not tolerate her behavior. Anjali Krishna then provided her number to Pawar. Pawar proceeded to note down her number and stated he would video call her. He also questioned her confidence. Pawar then immediately initiated a video call and ordered DSP Anjali Krishna to stop the operation and leave the location. In the meantime, villagers and Ajit Pawar’s supporters were seen verbally abusing the police and other officials. No formal action has yet been taken in response to the situation.
