Air India continues to grapple with persistent technical problems, causing disruptions and distress for its passengers. The latest incident involved a flight from Delhi to Singapore, where over 200 passengers were deplaned due to a technical malfunction. The passengers were subjected to a lengthy two-hour wait inside the aircraft before being instructed to leave the plane.
The event unfolded at Delhi Airport on Wednesday evening, affecting Air India flight AI 2380. The technical fault, specifically affecting the air conditioning and electrical systems, led to the decision to deplane the passengers and move them to the terminal. Passengers were left without a clear explanation from the airline staff, leading to considerable inconvenience and frustration, particularly for elderly travelers.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, intended for flight AI2380, was expected to take off from Delhi Airport around 11 PM. Issues with the aircraft’s air conditioning and power supply were reported by those on board. Air India has not yet released a statement about the event. The recurrence of such technical issues on Air India flights highlights a pattern of operational difficulties. Prior to this, a Delhi to Indore Air India flight had to make an emergency landing because of a fire warning.
