The Indian government is working to bring home stranded Indians in Nepal by coordinating with Air India and IndiGo to deploy more flights to Kathmandu. This initiative comes after the airport reopened on Wednesday, September 10th, following closures due to protests. The Minister of Civil Aviation, K Rammohan Naidu, confirmed the government’s efforts to assist passengers, and the airlines have been requested to keep fares affordable. Air India is operating special flights from Delhi to Kathmandu and back to help passengers affected by the recent developments in Nepal. The Ministry of External Affairs has also issued a travel advisory urging Indian citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Nepal.
