The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has expressed strong disapproval of the arrests of Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan and several others. The board has postponed the Bharat Bandh (nationwide strike) that was planned for October 3rd. The AIMPLB will announce a new date for the strike in the near future. The postponement was decided during an emergency meeting due to the festivals occurring on the same date across numerous states.
The AIMPLB’s notice indicated that its protest against the Waqf Amendment Act will proceed as planned, and other scheduled events will also take place as per the original schedule.
