The 11th Asian Aquatics Championship is coming to India for the first time, marking a landmark moment for Indian sports. The event will be held from September 28 to October 11, 2025, at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, a venue built to Olympic standards. This championship is a golden opportunity for Indian athletes to compete with the best in Asia and also acts as a qualifying event for the 2026 Asian Games. ‘Jalveer,’ the mascot, embodies the spirit of power, agility, and national pride, designed to inspire young swimmers. For Gujarat, hosting this championship is a key step in its ambition to bid for the 2036 Olympic Games.
