Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first against India at Junction Oval in Melbourne. Sri Lanka managed to get 113 runs in their 20 overs with Radha Yadav getting four wickets for India. In the run-chase, Shafali continued to slam the bowlers as she got 47 runs off 34 balls as India chased down the total with 32 balls to spare. India became the first side to sail through to the knockout stages after securing wins against hosts and defending champions Australia, as well as Bangladesh and New Zealand, in the first week of the tournament.

11:45 hrs: In a matter of few overs, Shafali and Harmanpreet have made an Indian victory imminent. India need only 43 runs off 71 balls with 9 wickets remaining. Shafali is having a great T20 World Cup.
