New Delhi: According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the capital Delhi this week. Apart from this, widespread activity of Monsoon will be seen over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh due to which light to moderate rains are likely to occur at some places with heavy rains in these parts.
During the last 24 hours more rainfall has been recorded in the plains of the country. In northeastern states, there may be torrential rains even today. Apart from this, moderate rainfall is expected in Madhya Pradesh. Showers may occur over eastern Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rains are expected in western and eastern Bihar. Bihar is already experiencing floods due to continuous rains.
Heavy rain in mumbai
For the last two hours, many areas of Mumbai have been raining heavily. Due to this, a situation of waterlogging has arisen. Yesterday, there was heavy rain in Mumbai and the roads were flooded. Today the rain is a little slow but the roads are in bad shape. According to the Meteorological Department, a high tide of 4.52 meters is expected in Mumbai today at 1.43 AM.
Weather likely to remain dry in Delhi for next three days
Skymet Weather Chief Meteorologist Mahesh Palawat said that the monsoon trough running around Delhi is now moving towards the foothills of Himalayas. From Thursday, the wind direction will also become western. Due to this, the weather is expected to remain dry for the next three days. During this time, both humidity and temperature will increase. However, some relief from heat may persist. Rain is expected to resume from July 26.
