This center will cater to the charging needs of the people of East Delhi and Patparganj area. This will increase the trend of using electric vehicles in the area and residents will get relief from pollution. This center is quite modern where four vehicles can be charged simultaneously. Cars with larger battery sizes (eg Hyundai, Kona etc.) can be charged in about 45 minutes and cars like Mahindra e-Verito, Tata Tigor can be charged in about 90 minutes.
The initial charge for this EV charging facility will be Rs 10.50 per unit for a limited period, which is the lowest in the current operating EV public charging tariff in Delhi. For advance booking of charging citizens, a software application called Plug NGO has been made available in the Google Play Store. Pre-booking facility is also provided by mobile.
It is noteworthy that BYPL has stepped up the initiative to increase the EV charging station facility in Delhi. For this, this station has been established in Swati Apartment, Patparganj in collaboration with Messrs EV Motors. This charging station has been set up around NH-9 that connects Ghaziabad and Noida areas to South-East Delhi. Therefore, the surrounding citizens will also benefit.
