Doha: France lifted the FIFA World Cup Trophy at Lujinki Stadium on 15 July 2018 and that scene is still fresh in front of our eyes. Just two years after that historic victory, the schedule of the FIFA World Cup 2022 matches to be held in Qatar was released. Now the football fans know very well which match will be played when and where. The most important thing is that World Cup 2022 is being organized in the Middle East for the first time and the timing of any match to be held here is favorable to the Indian audience. They can enjoy these matches without any problem.

The first match of the tournament will be held at Al Bayt Stadium on November 21, 2022 from 3:30 pm Indian time. The stadium is designed and named on the basis of traditional tents used by the nomadic people living in the Gulf region. The capacity of this stadium is 60 thousand.

Group matches are held at 3:30 pm, 6:30 pm, 9:30 pm and late 12:30 pm Indian time. After this, the final round of group matches is held at 8:30 pm and late at 12:30 pm. The third place playoff match will be held on 17 December at the Khalifa Stadium while the final will be played on 18 December at 8:30 pm Indian time at Lusail Stadium with a capacity of 80 thousand spectators.

The group level has been fixed for 12 days to give all teams proper rest between matches. There will be four matches in the day. This will allow the fans to enjoy the thrill of more and more matches. Given the compact nature of the tournament, air travel will not be required to travel from one venue to another venue in Qatar. This will help the media, teams and even the fans to decide their schedule.

Qatar has always been dear to Indians. A large number of Indians have visited Qatar in the last few years. In 2019, 385,148 Indians reached Qatar, which is significantly higher than the second-placed Britain (133,418). Since 2017, Indians are getting On Arrival Visas at the State of Qatar and Indians are enjoying it very much. Even more special is that 25 percent of the total population of Qatar is Indians.
