Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming project, ‘Mahavtar’, has experienced a significant setback. The film, which was intended as a major comeback for Kaushal, has been postponed. The first look of the film was already revealed, with plans for a 2026 release. However, Ranbir Kapoor’s film has caused a shift in plans. ‘Love and War’ is scheduled to release in early 2026. Reports suggest that ‘Mahavtar’ will not be released next year, as it has been postponed by Maddock Films. The film’s release date, initially set for Christmas 2026, is now open for other movies. The delay is due to the fact that the shooting of ‘Mahavtar’ will now start in April of the following year. This makes it challenging to release the film in December, thus pushing the release to 2027. The delay may also be due to ‘Love and War’, which stars Vicky Kaushal. Furthermore, the film requires extensive preparation, including physical training for Vicky to play the role of Lord Parshuram. This necessitates a significant amount of time for training, shooting, and post-production, which involves CGI and visual effects.
