The entertainment industry mourns the loss of Priya Marathe, celebrated for her role as Varsha Satish in ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Marathe died in Mumbai on August 31, 2025, after a prolonged struggle with cancer. She was 38 years old. Having been born and raised in Mumbai, Marathe began her acting journey with Marathi serials like ‘Ya Sukhanoya’ and ‘Char Divas Sasuche’. She later made her mark in Hindi television with ‘Kasamh Se’ and exhibited her comedic abilities in ‘Comedy Circus’. Her performance in ‘Pavitra Rishta’ earned her significant recognition. She also featured in shows such as ‘Tu Tithe Me’, ‘Bhaage Re Mann’, and ‘Jayastute’. Marathe married fellow actor Shantanu Moghe in 2012.
