Action star Sunny Deol has recently wrapped up work on ‘Border 2’ and is gearing up for his role in Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ramayan.’ Before these, he has several major films in his schedule. A significant update has emerged regarding his much-awaited film ‘Baap.’ Although the film’s shooting was completed a while ago, and the villain actor hinted at a release this year, a new development has come to light. This news does not concern Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, or Mithun Chakraborty, but rather the addition of a less successful actress to the film.
According to recent reports from a news website, Urvashi Rautela will be joining Sunny Deol’s ‘Baap,’ performing in a song. This could present a hurdle for the film, particularly for the roles of Sunny Deol and Sanjay Dutt. Here’s why.
Who is joining ‘Baap’?
‘Baap’ has been in development for a while. While there have been no official announcements from Sunny Deol or the production team, information continues to surface via social media. The latest report indicates that Ahmed Khan has selected Urvashi Rautela for a special dance number. The song will be a remake of the hit track ‘Apsara Aali.’ It’s believed that Urvashi Rautela has already finished filming her scenes, with the song’s shoot completed in just three days.
She will be featured alongside Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Mithun Chakraborty. ‘Baap’ is said to be a Bollywood adaptation of the Hollywood film ‘The Expendables.’ The song being remade, ‘Apsara Aali,’ is originally from the Marathi film ‘Natarang.’ Urvashi Rautela was recently seen in Sunny Deol’s film ‘Jatt,’ where she had a special appearance in the song ‘Sorry Bol.’
Why could this be a problem for Sunny Deol?
Sunny Deol and Urvashi Rautela have worked together previously. Urvashi played his wife in the film ‘Singh Saab The Great,’ which unfortunately failed at the box office. Additionally, her recent appearance in ‘Jatt’ did not garner much success either. The question now is whether this latest development in ‘Baap’ will prove to be a positive or negative influence on the film.
