The ongoing dispute between Aamir Khan and his family has seen the involvement of Somy Ali, Salman Khan’s former girlfriend. Faisal Khan, Aamir’s brother, has publicly distanced himself from his family, leveling serious accusations against his brother and mother. Ali’s decision to support Faisal, however, has not been well-received by social media users, leading to her being trolled. She has since addressed the criticism.
Ali stated that her support for Faisal Khan has brought her under fire. She emphasized that simply because someone speaks negatively about you doesn’t necessitate abandoning them during their hardships.
Further explaining her stance, Ali stated, “It has nothing to do with what he said about me, but my reaction in his difficult time is my own choice, not anyone else’s. I will support him or anyone facing hardship and stand by them.” She also clarified that she doesn’t have an intimate understanding of Aamir to make any comments about him. She added, “We did a photoshoot and we were both very professional. Apart from talking to each other, we didn’t say a word, just did the photoshoot and left.” She also noted that she, despite lacking full knowledge of the situation, believes Faisal is of sound mind after observing his interview, given her psychology background. The actress said, “I worked with patients suffering from schizophrenia in a psychiatric hospital during my internship and I would give them the same medication they gave Faisal. If a person does not have schizophrenia, there are serious consequences. Unless someone has physically harmed me and they are in trouble, and I know they are right, I will speak for them. That is my personality and my upbringing. So calm down and stop accusing me of being a hypocrite. People get hurt and say what I did, but now he is in trouble, and if that happens I will support any of you, Faisal too.”
