The new season of ‘Bigg Boss’ is generating substantial buzz, with fans eagerly awaiting its return. The show’s creators have unveiled a promotional video, confirming Salman Khan’s role as host. Further, the premiere date for ‘Bigg Boss 19’ has been announced.
‘Bigg Boss 19’ will air on Colors TV and JioHotstar starting August 24, 2025, at 10:30 PM.
Colors TV’s official Instagram account shared the promo, stating, “The game is changing… This time, the housemates will rule Bigg Boss! Watch #BiggBoss19, starting August 24th, at 10:30 PM, only on #Colors and @jiohotstar.”
Speculation has been rife on social media about potential celebrity contestants. Names mentioned include Amaal Malik, Faisu Malik, Apoorva Mukhija, Dhanashree Verma, Rati Pandey, and Bhavika Sharma. Actress Khushi Dubey confirmed she has been approached for the show, commenting, “Yes, it is true, I have been approached for the show. Let’s see, talks are going on, nothing is confirmed as of now. Abhi bas baat chal rahi hai.”
The official list of participants is yet to be disclosed.
While previous seasons generally lasted three months, this season is slated to run for five months. Reports suggest that Salman Khan will host ‘Bigg Boss 19’ for the initial three months, with Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor possibly taking over hosting duties later.
Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the winner of ‘Bigg Boss 18’, with Vivian Dsena as the first runner-up. The finalists also included Avinash Mishra, Rajat Dalal, Esha Singh, and Chum Darang.
